The McHale square bale wrapper is the universal solution for wrapping all bales. The no-nonsense design, high-quality components and sophisticated engineering make the 998 the logical choice for contractors who expect optimal performance from their machines under all conditions. The 998 features numerous characteristics valued by professional users, such as: a bale collector that can pick up the next bale while wrapping, rapid positioning of the bale on the wrapping unit, hydraulically operated film knives and automatic height adjustment for the bale during wrapping. The machine has a swivel head that connects to the drawbars of the lifting device. The 998 wraps bales with dimensions from 80 x 70 cm to 160 x 120 cm, both single and stacked, and optionally round bales. The control terminal in the cab enables the operator to set the bale dimensions and desired number of film layers. Once all values are entered, a single button press is sufficient to run the entire wrapping cycle automatically. The 998 has a patented measuring system that uses rollers to scan the shape of the bales, ensuring the correct number of film layers is applied everywhere. Furthermore, this enables even more precise wrapping, as it can account for the tilting of the bale on the wrapping unit.
