Fusion 3 Plus

The Fusion 3 Plus is equipped with Film on Film technology.

Film on Film or film binding binds the bale in the pressing chamber with film instead of net. The film holds the bale together as it is transferred to the wrapping table.

  • The film that binds the bale forms an additional protective layer around the bale. This provides better film coverage on the largest surface area of the bale.
  • The plastic applied in the pressing chamber is stretched by 10-30%. This is higher than what is achievable with net or twine and results in better-formed and tighter-remaining bales.
  • When plastic is applied around the bale in the pressing chamber, more air is expelled from the bale. This results in better silage quality.
  • Since no net wrap is used for binding the bale, there is only one type of waste.

Patented film binding

During the development of the McHale Fusion 3 Plus, McHale found that temperature and sunlight have a significant impact on film binding. As the day progressed and the temperature changed, the film became more or less stretched. This can result in inefficient film usage and reduced reliability.

To resolve this issue, McHale developed a patented system that automatically adjusts the stretch force according to conditions without requiring the user to make adjustments in the control terminal. The McHale patented film binding system ensures consistent stretch, reliable film binding, optimal bale shape, and bale density. When baling hay or straw, there is the option to switch to net binding by changing the roll.
